1969 | 8/18: Broke adrift in hurricane at Gulfport, Gulf of Mexico and stranded on beach at north end of harbor. Pounded by steamers Hulda (1944/9,810 grt) and Alamo Victory, also washed ashore. Severe hull and machinery damage and flooded. Left high and dry when floods subsided, CTL.
4/70: Sold "as lies" on beach to Coast Metal Processors to be broken up for them by P. & W. Industries, Covington; subsequently scrapped. |
